School of Journalism & Mass Communication (SJMC)

School of Journalism and Mass Communication has been nurturing the students since 41 long, glorious years. School aids in learning of interdisciplinary knowledge, and foster critical, analytical skills to grasp the balanced view of affairs of the world at large among the students.

SJMC inculcates in depth appreciation of context and aspects of culture, history, ethics and law so that students can apply their knowledge and skills in the pertinent matters.SJMC endeavours continuously to develop proficiency in one specialised field among students and makes efforts to develop ability to draw on acquired multiple skills in areas of their chosen field. In collaboration with, specialist of allied and other interdisciplinary fields, SJMC aims students to be informative, analytical, critical and objective while reporting on the matter concerned. In a media-driven world, we provide practical training for busy people engaged in media. Each course is taught "live" by an expert with a missional heart. To restore respect for tolerance and diversity, ensuring peace and harmony among all.
