Institute of Management Studies (IMS), a premier institute of Business Management, was established on 21st August 1969 under the aegis of the University of Indore as the Management education wing of the university. It was named the Department of Business Management in 1974 and was granted the Institute of Management Studies status in 1988. Over a period of time, IMS has earned a reputation for academic excellence in providing industry-driven and quality academic programs in the field of Management. IMS has been continuously working in the field of management education to create global leaders who can navigate the ever-changing business landscape. The curriculum is constantly updated to meet the dynamic needs of industry and academia. This provides an opportunity to continuously engage in innovative curricula by envisaging current and emerging challenges and opportunities in the business environment. Today, it has student strength of more than 1800 students studying as full-time students under different programs. The institute also offers an MBA program for Executives and a Ph.D. in Management.

IMS has developed a strong industry linkage that continuously provides unstinted support and cooperation in curriculum enrichment, training, and placements. Our syllabus, academic inputs, and corporate lecture series enable the building of a foundation and thought process for a successful corporate career. Each student goes through test of fire, making them fine steel, our students hail from different backgrounds like Engineering, Pharma, Biotechnology, Commerce, Arts etc. from different regions of the country.

More than 75 companies visit the IMS campus every year, and in the last three years, IMS has placed more than 1,100 students.
