The Computer Centre is one of the few centres in Indian Universities which was established by support of University Grant Commission (UCG), New Delhi in 1986 to execute the MCA program and for accelerating research activities. In addition to teaching and research, the centre is entrusted with responsibility of result processing and payroll of the university. It is located in Library Building, Taksahila Campus, DAVV, Khandwa Road, Indore. In the beginning of 1986 the centre had guidance and association of Dr. D.B. Phatak, Padamshri (2013), Professor of national eminence, IIT Bombay for three months. The Centre also actively contributed in preparing Defence Scientists, in M.Sc. (Comp. Sc) program sponsored by DRDO (1986-95). Association of Indian Universities (Western Zone) Conference of Vice-Chancellors, August 2006 lauded and appreciated efforts of the University in Computerization and I.T. Services. The Executive Council of the University congratulated the Faculty/Officers/Staff associated with the Information Technology initiatives in 2006.Computer Centre headed by Dr. Anand More.

Major Activities
In the Computer Centre Major activities are In-house Data Processing of 1000+ Results of University and Affiliated Colleges around 2.5 lac students, Preparation of Payroll of the University employees, OMR Valuation and NAD-Digiloker, Integrated association with School of Computer Science and Information Technology in Teaching, Research and Laboratories. Teaching in M. Tech. (Comp. Sc./ Network Security/ Software Engg.),MCA, M.Sc. (Comp. Sc.), M.Sc. (IT), MBA (CM), BCA courses, Guiding project in M. Tech. (Comp. Sc./ Network Security/ Software Engg.), MCA, M.Sc. (Comp. Sc.), M.Sc. (IT), MBA (CM), BCA courses. Integrated association with Information Technology Centre for Campus Wide Network for university, Research and Ph. D. supervision in Computer Science and Engineering disciplines. Take consultancy assignments in collaboration with other university departments. Effective running of Computer and Information Technology services in University in conjunction with Information Technology Centre. Assist in all E-Governance Initiatives in the University and develop state-of -the-art labs for the researchers and students of the SCSIT.
