Information Technology Centre (ITC)

Information Technology Centre at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore was established in 2000 with the objective to create world class IT infrastructure within the university. The center has more than 5000 LAN points and 14000+ users covering all buildings and hostels across three university campuses. The IT Center is equipped with advanced computing systems and networking infrastructure such as routers, firewalls, core and edge switches. IT Centre provides high speed Internet access through the 1Gbps NKN lease line connectivity under NMEICT scheme to students, faculty and administrative staff. The center is also involved in server hosting, website management, and supports IT services across the university. It plays a key role in enabling efficient academic, administrative, and research operations across all departments of university through technology-driven solutions. It supports a wide range of digital services such as online admissions, examination systems, results processing and publishing, and student record management ensuring transparency and operational efficiency. The center has established wired and Wi-Fi LAN in campus and hostels. Organized IT training for students and staff, and took cyber security initiatives. The university IT infrastructure includes a campus wide network which interconnects all teaching and administrative departments across three campuses, a hostel LAN interconnecting all hostels and hostel Wi-Fi network which provides Wi-Fi Internet access in student hostels. The whole network management and administration is done by IT Center. The Centre regularly updates IT infrastructure, including expansion of computing facilities, improved server rooms, and upgraded networking hardware to support increasing digital demands. In addition, the Centre contributes to university-level IT policy development and collaborates with national initiatives in digital education and governance. It acts as the backbone for the university’s e-governance systems. Through innovation, the IT Centre at DAVV continues to drive the university’s digital transformation, fostering a tech-enabled academic environment that meets the evolving needs of students, faculty, and administration.
